Natacha Rist

Natacha joined St. John's in the winter of 2025 in an Interim capacity and became our permanent Director of Music in September 2025. She is a Franco-American Organist and Pianist, born and raised in France. She has held a number of settled, and also Interim, Music Director positions with many denominations, in particular at Boston-area UCC and Episcopal churches. She holds her Diploma in Piano Performance from the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and her Masters of Music in Vocal Accompaniment from Boston University. She collaborates with numerous professional instrumentalists and vocalists in the New England area, as a free-lance vocal, instrumental and choral accompanist on Organ, Piano and Harpsichord. She also performs as a soloist and as a chamber musician in New England and in France. She is a founding member of Kharis Chamber Players. In addition to her position at St. John's, she also teaches Piano and Chamber Music and is Staff Accompanist at Wayland School of Music, and she maintains a private piano teaching studio in Jamaica Plain and in Westwood.
