Denise Watson

Denise staffs our nursery at the 10:00am service on Sunday mornings mid-September through mid-June.   Denise is a Boston native with a deep commitment to education and community service. She earned her BA in Psychology from Curry College, with minors in Elementary and Special Education.

Certified as a Lead Teacher by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, Denise also holds multiple childcare certifications, including First Aid, CPR, and EEC Director Certifications. With over 10 years of experience in Early Childhood and Special Education, she has worked with diverse populations across various age groups. She is currently the Senior Director of Early Childhood Education at the East End House in Cambridge, MA.

Denise’s expertise extends beyond the classroom, having contributed to afterschool programs, family engagement initiatives, summer camps, and summer food programs. And despite her years of experience in Early Childhood leadership, Denise has always desired to remain in touch with direct childcare -- our nursery at St. John's is the perfect opportunity for her to care directly for children in a a very part-time capacity.

Denise enjoys spending time with her family, reading books and supporting others in her community, connecting them with resources.
