V. Michael Bousquet


Michael is the ninth rector of St. John's Westwood. He arrived in January 2023, and previously served as the Associate Rectors at the Parish of the Good Shepherd, Waban, MA, and at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Barnstable, MA. He has also served parishes in transition in the diocese of Massachusetts, including Trinity Church, Wrentham, and the Parish of Saint Paul, Newton Highlands. Prior to parochial ministry, he was the neuroscience and neuro-oncology staff chaplain at Massachusetts General Hospital and served for a year as the psychiatric chaplain.

Prior to ministry, Michael had a career in non-profit development and fundraising and sang tenor in several choirs. He has a Div.M. degree from Harvard and an A.B. in chemistry and philosophy from Dartmouth. He currently serves on the Diocesan Council and is a Title IV Advisor for the diocese. He lives in West Newton with his husband, David, and his two boys, Elio (age 5) and Luca (age 2).
