Daniel (Dan) is a native of Illinois and arrived at St. John's Westwood as our Director of Music in August 2023. An avid choral musician, he has sung with and co-conducted numerous professional and semi-professional choirs, including his most recent appearance earlier this summer with the Festival Chorus at the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC. Dan has also served as a supply organist or pianist for churches across denominations in every community in which he has lived, which span five states. Dan also holds a M.Div. from Yale and a B.A. in religious studies from Monmouth College.
Dan lives in Braintree with his wife, the Rev. Rachel Reid, a Presbyterian minister and hospice chaplain, and their four-year-old calico cat, Rosie.
