Bible Study

Every Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. we meet to study the weekly scripture readings via  Google Meet.  Leslie Davie is sending out the weekly invitation via our St. John's address. You can email Lynne Kozlowski, or Leslie Davie, if you'd like to join us.

CityReach Program in Boston

Next spring, on March 10 -11, high school youth will be invited to attend CityReach, which will hopefully include an overnight this time around!   (Of course, we will do what is safest, and if Covid cases increase, we can have the first half the program at St. John's on Friday night. Stay tuned!)

On Friday evening will hear the stories of the CityReach guides who have experienced homelessness.  On Saturday at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, we will provide lunch, lots of warm clothing, and  kind conversation for our homeless guests.

Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, we always bring in lots of warm clothing to donate! The collection boxes will be out by early November. When we return from CityReach, our youth will share their experiences with the congregation on an upcoming Sunday morning. We have had a long -term (over 20 year!) relationship with Ecclesia Ministries, and believe that consistent ministry is way more important that "one-shot" experiences. Hence, we invite members of Ecclesia out to us each year for bowling in the winter and a Hale picnic in early summer. We also provide a monthly lunch, along with Epiphany, Walpole. B-Safe summer program

Each summer we support the B-SAFE program for elementary school kids from Mattapan at our partner parish, Church of the Holy Spirit. This past summer we provided groceries for 54 families on Thursday, July 28, and a Field Trip on Friday, July 29 to the Capron Park Zoo in Attleboro. The weather was plenty hot, so the splash pad was a big hit, as you can see above! For the past two years, due to Covid, there was no in-person camp program @ C.H.S., so everyone, kids and volunteers,  were really happy that camp was back in action! We had 6 volunteers to help tour the zoo and serve lunch & ice cream, and all ages had great fun!

Thank you to each and every one of you who provided a big bag of non-perishable groceries!!

B-SAFE is run by the St. Stephen's Youth Programs at several Episcopal parishes in underserved neighborhoods of Boston. If you would like to learn more about the B-SAFE program, please check out this website: If you have any questions:
