Every Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. we meet to study the weekly scripture readings via Zoom. (occasionally we've been able to meet in person in past months, but now it is safest to return to Zoom). At present, Leslie Davie is sending out the weekly Zoom invitation via our St. John's address. Please email Leslie if you'd like to join us: firstname.lastname@example.org. Or get in touch with Lynne, our fearless leader of many years! If you've never given this a try, please join us!

Children's & Youth Ministry
K- 5, Middle and High School Programs will begin in the coming weeks, safely, with masks! When we move indoors, we will have air filters in the classrooms and teachers will be vaccinated. In the meantime, our first Children's Service will take place outdoors on Sunday, September 19 (back lawn), weather permitting. Our Blessings of the Animals service will also be outside, on Sunday, October 3. Please mark your calendars! We can't wait to see you!
Parents, if you would like to learn more about the Love First approach we are using this year for Kindergarten - 5th grade, please check:
This is adaptable to zoom if need be, but we have a small church school group and plenty of space. Our safetly team at church will be meeting regularly to discuss how to adapt.

Urban Promise Honduras
Urban Promise Honduras: St. John's has had a long-term relationship with UPH, which provides after-school programs and camps for children and youth in underserved communities in Copan, Honduras. We had a wonderful service-learning trip to UPH in 2017 with our partner parish, Church of the Holy Spirit, Mattapan, and hope to go back to volunteer in the future! Right now UPH is expanding and there is a very exciting Capital Campaign in progress. Please check out the UPH brochure below. You can speak to Emily Sugg or Andy Onderdonk if you'd like to learn more. Here's their brochure:

Oasis Ministries –we provide a monthly hot dinner to about 60 homeless neighbors at Old West Church in Boston on 2nd Mondays. Right now Jen Whitmore is cooking our meal for us, which is an extraordinary gift. We continue to support Oasis financially, and hope to return on October 11 to cooking our monthly dinner. Stay tuned!
Ecclesia Ministries outreach – This fall we are continuing to provide sandwiches and fresh fruit once a month, with the help of Epiphany, Walpole. Thanks to all who have been involved for the past year and a half! Homeless women and men in Boston still need our assistance! Our next delivery date is Wednesday, September 22. We still need a couple of volunteers to bring fruit & sandwiches. Please let me know if you can help!
